The world is a magical playground for our children. We must teach them to respect, cherish and love the earth! I believe that trough seeing its beauty and experience its kindness and endless delight; our children will help us heal the on-going destruction. Our responsibility as adults is to give kids the information, guidance and inspiration to make the right choices in their life. To be open minded and unlimited in their searched for happiness!
To travell with children conects cultures together, they make friends easily and can bring inspiration to people all around the world. Inspire and be inspired while travelling with your children!
Even if you don'nt have your own children, as an adult you have a responsiblity to inspire the young ones to fill their lifes with love!

We are homeschoolers who mostly "unschool". We travel whenever we have the money and the bug hits us, sometimes to places nearby, sometimes to places very far away. Our youngest family member, Roo, is 6 now. By the time he was 2 he'd been in California, Israel, England and New Zealand. More recently we've explored Washington State, British Columbia, Oregon, and Idaho. Soon we'll be back to Israel.

I'm told I'm nuts. I'm told I'm "unstable". My parents want me to "just settle down" but my kids have learned so many awesome lessons and had so many great experiences. I wouldn't trade this life for anything!

Since Roo was a baby we've been talking about writing a book and calling it "Wiping Tusch on National Monuments". The title is a reference to the number of times we changed diapers at major monuments around the world in Roo's first two years. The content would be real, down to earth advice about cheap travel, unschooling kids while traveling, and dealing with well meaning family and friends who tell you not to do this stuff.

It's good to see that there's a tribe here of folks who've taken their own less-beaten paths with their kids!

I'd be interested in that book! My nusband and I are having our first, and we are going to home school. We LOVE to backpack and would love to travel more! We just need more advice or experience on the foreign travel/ cheaply part. :)

Good lucki with the book, sounds like a great idea!
